Class Picnic
There will be a picnic held JULY 23rd at the VILLAGE PARK, in Central Square 12N-?? This picnic is for those within convenient driving distance to the Square. So many have expressed a desire to get together again..... This is a bring your own picnic......there will be hot dogs/hamburgers/buns supplied, if however, you wish to bring your own chicken or steak that is okay.....bring your tableware and other picnic supplies you like, and if you wish to bring a dish to pass, that would be great....we look forward to a great time again.
Please e-mail or call Linda Dunham Glover (email: lglover3@twcny.rr.com, Phone: 315-668-8826) to let her know if you will be attending, and also if you will be partaking of the hotdogs/hamburgers..... MARK YOUR CALENDAR.... a reminder will be sent out, but we would like to know, in advance, so plans can be completed.....
FYI......There are more than 40 in this group!!!!!! We understand not everyone will be able to attend, but a great turnout is expected.....
It was a Great 50th Year Reunion
Our reunion events were by all accounts an outstanding success. The reunion committee did a great job. A special thanks to the following classmates:
To Linda Dunham Glover for hosting the social at her house on Friday and organizing the event at Castaways. To Patricia Hughes Turner for helping Linda with the centerpieces for the tables. My wife sat on one of the lucky chairs to win one of the centerpieces. It's now the centerpiece on the table in the guest house.
To Pat Showers Redhead for the creating the booklet with everyone's bios (for those we were able to contact). Pat also provided everyone with a doll ornament in our school colors.I will try and put a copy of the booklet on the website.
To mayor (Central Square) Mudd Murphy for being the master of ceremonies for the saturday event. Mudd also provided us with a copy of the May-June 1960 Centralite. I found the Inquiring Reporter, Prophecy and Class Will sections to be rather interesting. I will attempt to get a copy of this on the site as well.
To Bruce Tanner for sending out letters to classmates we were unable to contact. He did this while traveling on vacation out west. Bruce also created the certificates of acheivement that were handed out Saturday evening.
To Sharon Hafermalz Morrison, Sharon Fitzgerald Martin, Corby Group, Jon Kinkaid and Jim Traub for helping us locate other classmates. This was one of the toughest jobs for those of us that worked on the reunion.
To Dianne Fish Avery for providing the quilt that was auctioned off on Saturday evening. Dave Snyder was the lucky winner. My wife said she thought Dave bought half the roll of tickets Pat was selling. Way to go Dave.I think you may have helped us pay for the next reunion.
To the guys who helped out doing some yard work at Linda Dunham Glover's preparing for Friday's social at her home. Those providing the hard labor were Ed Sullivan, David Snyder, Dale Hughes, Terry Hamblin, Nelson Pratt, Marvin Reed, Jon Kinkaid, Bruce Tanner, Joe Simmons and Mudd Murphy. Hopefully I didn't forget anyone. It was a real sweat job since the heat and humidity were rather high. From time to time we lost Nelson on the riding mower. I think he was attemping to mow half of Pennelville.
To Linda Dunham Glover's son Lance Glover and his wife for helping out setting up for Friday's social and for taking a video of the event. DVDs of the event are available for $8.00. If you would like a DVD, please make a note in the Contact Us and we will email instructions on where to send your money.

Forum
The Forum has been removed from the website. It was used very little and a porn site had started using it. The web hosting service was threatening to shut down my account because of excessive use of database resources.
When I checked the Forum it was loaded with some pretty raunchy stuff. I could have deleted it and increased security but since as it was not used much, I just decided to shut it down.
Reunion Photos!
There are two pages of photos in the Photo Gallery under the 50th Reunion menu. The Thursday and Friday selection is for the Yard Cleanup and Social at Linda Dunham Glover's. The Saturday selection is for the dinner at Castaways.
Thanks to the following classmates for submitting photos: Bruce Tanner, Margo Harvey Totten, Sharon Hafermalz Morrison, Jeanne Burton Rittenhouse and Linda Dunham Glover. If you would like to send yours in, there's more room them.
Bruce Tanner has created a composite of the group which is under the Reunions menu selection.
